Taping heads

The taping heads are the heart of the machines that seal cardboard boxes with self-adhesive tape.

The TU Elena Marchetti ™ series has been designed to obtain perfect distribution of the self-adhesive tape and / or ecopack paper even on recycled or lightweight boxes. They are made of steel and anodized aluminium or 100% stainless steel for use in especially aggressive environments. Various models of the Elena Marchetti™ taping heads are available depending on the tape width and the overlap applied to the front/rear of the box.

For lateral taping there is a specially designed model with the roll holder in a horizontal position, All the taping heads can be equipped with sensors for checking tape application, signaling any breakages in the tape or the end of the roll. The HS High Speed model allows to seal with a belttransfer speed up to 40m / min.

We can customize the heads for particular applications on request.

Key features

• The units are equipped with a retractable safety device for the first cut of the tape without using the main blade.
• The cutting strength of the main blade is adjustable.
• Fully interchangeable: the taping heads are designed to work as top and bottom sealers, by simply changing the setting of the loading spring and they are suitable for all Elena Marchetti™ Goldtape sealing machines.
• The special design ensures the pressure is consistent, even when the box does not have an even surface.
• Each adjustment is made through pre-positioned pins and can be done easily and quickly.
• Ability to use Tape roll up to 360 mm in diameter.
• When using the tape, the braking pressure remains constant, thus ensuring uniform unwinding.
